LOCAL 338 ATTENDS HISTORIC SIGNING OF THE COMPASSIONATE CARE ACT

On July 7, 2014 Local 338 RWDSU was invited by Governor Andrew Cuomo to attend the historic signing of the Compassionate Care Act. New York is now the 23rd state to legalize medical marijuana in the form of vapors, pills, and oils for men, women, and children suffering from serious chronic and debilitating conditions, including cancer, multiple sclerosis and seizure disorders.

For two years, Local 338 has worked diligently alongside patients and caregivers to ensure the passage of the Compassionate Care Act. We were proud and honored to be present for the signing of the bill, which will give patients (and their caregivers) greater medical choice and provide them with the relief they need to live full and meaningful lives.
