On Saturday, September 8th, Local 338 members came out to celebrate the New York Central Labor Council’s Labor Day Parade. The theme of this year’s parade was “NYC is a Union Town” and with all of the brothers and sisters that came out from all the participating unions, we definitely showed how strong we are together as a labor movement!
It was also great seeing so many of our members show support! Local 338 members enjoyed marching and even getting to ride on the Local 338 float as we made our way up Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Although the weather brought a little rain, that did not stop us from having a good time and enjoying the music the band played! Members and their families even got an opportunity to meet Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, who stopped by to show her support.
Thank you to all of the members who came out to celebrate with us. We look forward to seeing you at next year’s parade!
