Dear Local 338 Member,

It has come to our attention that a Local 338 member received a call from a company (OptumRx) claiming that they work with our pharmacy network and were reaching out to union members. Please be aware that this is a phone scam and is not an authorized Local 338 partner. In only extremely limited circumstances would you be contacted directly by someone other than Local 338 or our Health & Welfare Office.

If you receive a call like this and are in doubt, hang up and call the Local 338 office directly (516-294-1338 ext. 1776). You can also log on to your “My Local 338” account (mylocal338.org) to verify the list of vendors Local 338 partners with. Never give out sensitive information over the phone unless you are absolutely certain of who you are speaking to.

For more information on how to avoid phone fraud, visit: www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0060-10-things-you-can-do-avoid-fraud
If you have any questions, please contact us directly at 516-294-1338 ext. 1776 or speak to your Union or Funds/Service Representative.

In Solidarity,

John R. Durso
President
