Alex is a Pharmacist at MedMen in Manhattan. He was recently elected to the Local 338 Executive Board and is the Shop Steward for his MedMen! He’s proud to be a member and says he enjoys playing an active part in our union! Alex loves playing tennis and learning new vegetarian recipes. Christopher Bonacasa is the frozen food manager at ShopRite in Deer Park! He’s been a member of Local 338 since 2019. Christopher is a huge fan of Marvel movies, and Spider-Man is his favorite hero from the comics. He’s also enjoys spending time with his family and his dogs, Max, Toby and Buddy. Tanisha is a cashier at ShopRite in Deer Park, and she’s a proud, 5-year member of our union! Tanisha likes to spend time with her daughter—they like to cook together and enjoy meal prepping! She also likes to go bowling and take her daughter to the park in their free time. Thank you for being a super member, Tanisha!

Berenice is the Shop Steward at DeCicco & Sons in Milbrook, and she joined our union earlier this year! In her free time, Berenice enjoys knitting and spending time with her granddaughter. She also takes her son to his baseball and football games and is looking forward to welcoming a grandson to her growing family next year! Thank you for being a super member, Berenice!

Geralynn Kenny, a 38-year member of Local 338, is our January Super Member! Geralynn is a File Clerk at Stop & Shop in Oyster Bay. She has an extensive knowledge of the store—before working as a file clerk, Geralynn worked in customer service, as a front end manager, in receiving, and as a bookkeeper! In her time off, she loves to travel, and has been to Iceland, Greece and Italy this year! Thank you for being a Super Member, Geralynn!

Tanya Aniello, a 7-year member of Local 338, is our September Super Member! Tanya is the receiver at Stop & Shop on Staten Island. She loves to go on cruises, and most recently visited Bermuda in August on vacation! She’s a proud grandmother to her 4-month-old granddaughter, and enjoys spending her free time hiking and going camping. Thank you for being a Super Member, Tanya!

Fanny Paute is our August Super Member! Fanny works in the Deli department at Foodtown in Croton on Hudson, and she’s been a member of Local 338 since 2016. She has two children and loves to spend her free time doing things with them! One of their favorite things to do together is going hiking—especially at the trails in Mahopac or upstate at Bear Mountain. Thank you for being a super member, Fanny!

Jessica Medrano is our July Super Member! Jessica is the Bakery Manager at Stop & Shop on Staten Island and has been a member of Local 338 for 19 years. She is an avid bowler and regularly participates in a bowling league with her sister. Jessica first started decorating cakes when she was 7 and was taught by her dad, who was also a bakery manager! Along with keeping the Stop and Shop bakery well-stocked, Jessica now uses her skills to make dessert platters with her aunt for family events. Thank you for being a super member, Jessica!

David Hester, a Tier 3 grower for Curaleaf, is our June Super Member! David has been a member of Local 338 since 2020 and oversees taking care of the plants at his grow site in Ravena. He loves to play sports, particularly basketball and baseball—having played baseball for years as a pitcher, he now plays in a weekly league and helps kids practice! David is also very passionate about his job and the healing properties of cannabis. Thank you for being a Super Member, David!

Nancy DiGianni is our latest Super Member! Nancy is a grocery clerk at Stop & Shop in East Northport who joined our union in 2011. She is the proud mom of twin boys and their little brother! She spends her weekends bringing her youngest son to his basketball games—he’s been playing since the first grade and really loves the sport. One of her twins was just inducted into the National Honor Society, and she’s very proud of him! Thank you for being a Super Member, Nancy!

It’s Super Member Monday and this is Murugan Naidu! He’s been a Local 388 member for two years and works at MedMen in Lake Success. Murugan loves to play sports, especially volleyball and basketball, and has been part of a YMCA volleyball team for 2 years. Dominique considers himself a microinfluencer and runs a YouTube channel where he interviews local artists and showcases their talents. This is Marie Daddario. She’s been a Local 388 member for nearly 6 years and works at Stop & Shop of Howard Beach. Marie loves riding her motorcycle with her husband. She often volunteers for charity motorcycle rides to raise awareness and money for Autism, cancer and veteran causes! Last December, she and her husband rode in support of Toys 4 Tots and with the help of the motorcycle community, made hundreds of kids across New York very happy during the Holiday season.

Eddie been a Local 338 member for nearly 40 years and works at Stop & Shop on Staten Island. He loves to travel and visit new places. One of his favorite places to go is Atlantic City in his home state of New Jersey! John DiFillipo has been an L388 member for nearly 6 years and works at Stop & Shop of West Hempstead. John loves music.
